Nine of Swords

The Nine of Swords is a card that makes you face your fears. Fear can immobilise you and make you regress instead of progress. Thus this card, when it shows up, asks you to address these fears and not run away from them. Running away only causes further grief and makes you stay awake at night. This is a card that actually speaks to the negativity within our hearts which threatens to manifest outwardly. The future is uncertain, yet this uncertainty can be faced when we count upon the support of a higher power. Take the time to breathe and to rest. Talk things out with those who are willing to listen. The card could also indicate that you are worried about someone else who means a lot to you.

Nine of Swords

A line I had read a long time ago, regarding the description of this card stuck with me: ‘who has not lain awake late at night and been wracked with worry and mental trauma?’

The Nine of Swords represents worry, guilt and anguish. It can also be an indication for you to stop going over and over an issue and getting worked up about it. Stop being hard on yourself and begin to forgive yourself if focusing on your guilt is what you are doing.

This dark night of the soul shall pass by. The card may be a warning of a troubled time, but this could also be a suggestion to examine things carefully in whatever choices you have to make today.
